Tell our readers about your professional background.
My name is Emily, I am originally from the UK but have lived and worked in South Africa for twenty years. I trained in the UK in fine art and graphics.
Where are you now based, and what do you currently do?
My husband and I participated in job creation in South Africa. We owned a furniture-making business, teaching carpentry crafts, sales, and entrepreneurship in our local community. I am passionately involved in the NGO sector with fundraising and skills development.
What made you decide to change your career and work for VPA?
As a mother to four children, becoming a Virtual PA has been an excellent career change. Working from a home office allows you to be dedicated to your clients and your family, simultaneously.
Why should clients use Virtual PA Studio?
Having run my own business, especially when you are a small business, having a Virtual PA will enable an owner to keep up with invoices, admin, and daily tasks without the pressure of employing someone full-time, and it enables you to focus on the things you love about your business.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know!
I have too many to mention. I love to cook, paint, and be creative, and have a passion for property photography. I am constantly singing, so I am well-suited as a Virtual PA!
